I came to you 'as is',
nearly dead.
You nursed me,
you loved me,
showed me that almost dieing wasn't the end.
Now I sit in this empty room,
waiting for you,
thinking of your promises.
Did you break them,
or just nearly keep them?
This little piece conjures up a number of scenarios. My immediate thought was of a pet saved from a dog or cats home. Either way saving a life often puts the rescuer under an obligation, doesn't it?
P.S. May I suggest 'dying' as the correct spelling?
A very nice response to the Sunday Scribbling.

Waiting for someone to fulfil a promise is the emptiest room in the world..maybe some of those things we can fulfil ourselves..Jae
